Getting small businesses found
You do good work.
Nobody can find it.
I sort the online side out for small businesses. Google listing, reviews, website, the lot. Most of it costs nothing to fix, and it's usually the reason the phone's quiet.

The problem
Being good at the job
is not enough.
Most businesses I look at have decent reviews from customers who already knew them, and nothing at all for the ones who don't. Those people never get as far as your number.
Three businesses show on the Google map before anything else. Search what you do and your own town and see who they are.
Try it on your phone now. It takes ten seconds.£0 is what it costs to claim a Google listing, set the right category and start asking for reviews. That's most of the gap, and none of it is a bill.
An evening is how long it takes me to go through your whole online presence and the businesses beating you. You get it written down.
How it works
Three stages.
Stop whenever you like.
Each one works on its own. Plenty of people do the first and handle the rest themselves, which is fine by me.
Find out what is wrong
I look at everything a customer sees. Your Google listing, website, reviews, social. Then I check what the businesses beating you are doing differently. You get it written down, with the fixes in order of what will bring work in quickest.
Fix the foundations
Google listing set up and verified. A system for getting reviews in. Website working properly on a phone. And something logging where every enquiry came from, so you stop guessing. Barely any of this costs money.
Keep it running
Photos of your jobs going out weekly, reviews chased up, local Facebook groups watched, ads if they make sense for you. Once a month you get a single page showing what came in and where it came from.
What I do
The actual work.
Six things. You don't need all of them, and I'll tell you which ones you can skip.
Google Business Profile
The map is where the calls come from. Most businesses I look at have a listing nobody's touched in two years.
What this involvesReviews
A steady drip beats a burst two years ago. Most businesses ask nobody, then wonder why the page looks dead.
What this involvesWebsites
Built for a phone on 4G, with your photos and a button that opens WhatsApp. From £750.
What this involvesSocial and content
The work you did on Tuesday is the advert. Most of it sits on a phone and never gets seen.
What this involvesFacebook and Google ads
Only once the free stuff works. Paying to send people to a dead listing is how businesses lose money on marketing.
What this involvesDrone photos and video
Premises, sites and outdoor work from above. The one thing on this list that needs me in the van.
What this involvesPrices
Prices are
right here.
You shouldn't need a phone call to find out what something costs. No setup fee, no minimum term, no packages starting from.
Growth audit
The full look at where you stand, what your competitors are up to, and a plan for the next three months. Takes me about a week.
Foundation fix
Google listing built and verified, reviews system set up, enquiry tracking in place, directory listings tidied up.
Website
Built for phones first, because that's what people use. Your photos, your prices if you want them shown, and a message button that works.
Monthly
Posting, reviews, local groups, Google kept up to date. Plus the monthly page so you know what you're paying for.
Monthly plus
All the above, plus I run your Facebook and Google ads. You pay the ad budget direct.
The audit comes off the bill. Book anything else within a month and I knock the £199 off. So if you carry on, you got it for nothing.
Who it suits
Any business people
look up before they buy.
Which is nearly all of them. A roofer, a barber and an accountant have the same problem in three different costumes.
What to expect
What you get,
and what you won't.
I would rather be straight about this up front than have you find out three months in.
What you get
- Me on the phone. Not somebody in an office reading off a script
- Everything set up in your name, so it's yours to keep
- One page a month in plain English, good month or bad
- Drone photos and video when it's worth it, through LJ Aerial Media
- Straight answers, including when the answer is that you don't need me
What you won't get
- A twelve month contract you can't get out of
- Reports full of numbers that don't mean anything
- Promises about ranking first on Google
- Extras appearing on a bill you never agreed to
- A junior account manager who has never run a business
How I work
The bits people
usually hide.
Worth knowing before you've handed over any money.
You own everything
Your domain, your Google listing, your pages, your website. All in your name. If we stop working together you keep all of it and I walk away.
No lock-in
Paid monthly up front, a month's notice either way. No year long contract and nothing to pay to leave.
Fixed scope
You'll know exactly what you're getting. If you want something extra I'll price it first. Nothing turns up on a bill you didn't agree to.
No promises I can't keep
Nobody can promise you the top spot on Google. If someone tells you they can, they're lying to you.
Questions
Before you ring.
How do I know you're not another agency cold-calling me?
Fair. Alfie rings people because that's how a one man business finds work. What's different is on this page. My prices are published, there's no contract, and everything gets set up in your name so you can walk off with it. Ring the number and you get me, not a call centre.
You're not local to me. Does that matter?
Not for almost any of it. Google listings, reviews, websites, social and ads are all done from a laptop, and I'd be doing exactly the same work sat in your car park. The only exception is the drone, which needs me physically there.
What if I do the audit and then do the work myself?
That's fine and a fair few people do. The audit is written so you can hand it to anyone. If you fix it yourself, good, that was the point.
Do you work with my kind of business?
Almost certainly. Most of what's wrong is the same whether you're a roofer, a barber or an accountant. Ring me and I'll tell you honestly if yours is the exception.
Are you going to lock me into a contract?
No. Monthly work is paid up front, a month's notice either way, and nothing to pay to leave.
How many clients have you got?
Not many, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. I'd rather tell you that than show you a wall of logos. What I will do is show you the actual work on a call.
Free, no strings
Have a look at mine.
Send over your business name and I'll check what comes up when someone searches for you. I will tell you what I find whether you hire me or not.
